Preorder used to mean you would not be guaranteed a copy in store for maybe a week. Now means nothing, pass everyone.

As an incentive for the risk-takers/experiment subjects, shouldn't the pre-orders be marked down like 30-40%?
I'm hearing that the multiplayer will be peer to peer, which should kill this game rather quickly.

Could you buy it before?

I'm pretty sure they'll have plenty of digital copies which is what this is.
Exactly his point, people would preorder because it could sell out otherwise.

After the flop that battlefront was, i don't think many people will preorder this game. All things considered the time from the last release is too short for them to make a new game from scratch. Most likely they just tinkered with few things around and hope to sell it as brand new experience. The problem is, while popular, this game has no hardcore following like CoD or Battlefield. Also, they should fire whoever is responsible for the deluxe bonuses being what they are. Giving gameplay bonuses to people who pay more is a great way to alienate a big chunk of your target audience

Your kidding right? This will release in November, exactly 2 years since the last one.

never preorder, especially for digital. they won't run out. wait for reviews (hell, these days, wait 6 months for the game to patched into a playable state). if a publisher is holding back review copies till release day or after, they're probably trying to pull a fast one.

bottom line, be a smart consumer.

ill just walk in store and buy for lower than launch because all launch disc based console games match amazon prime prices now at retailers. They dont announce until day of because they want the sheep to think they need to preorder at full price. This isn't 1998 anymore
