Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM Zoom Lens for Nikon and Canon - $250, Today Only

Posted 04-19-2017 by Oneill5491 at 09:54 AM
Update: Looks like the seller increased the price of the Canon lens to $320 due to high demand.

Today is the last day of the eBay 20% off select tech products/stores and participating eBay seller RedTagCamera has the popular Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 lens available in both Nikon and Canon flavors for $250 after promo code. This is a pretty slick price for this very popular and versatile lens.

Canon: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222417193314
Nikon: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222375973663

Apply eBay promo code PSHOPTECH417 at checkout to drop price to $250. FYI, this code is one-time use only on eBay so you will not be able to take advantage of this deal if you have already used it elsewhere (unless you have another eBay account).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Not certain. They don't appear to be an authorized dealer so I suppose you'll have to assume it's gray market.

I've personally never had to warranty a camera lens before and have never known anyone that has needed to.

Great. Picked up the Nikon mount lens. Been looking to pull the trigger on a 17-50mm for quite some time.

If I didn't still have lenses to get rid of from the Best Buy price glitch, I'd jump on the Nikon one I need.

This is fantastic lens and I rarely ever use anything else for my personal shooting.

I will say that I did have to warranty mine because there was an issue in the firmware with the Canon T6i where once you put the camera into video mode, the camera would freeze up...had to pull the battery each time to fix it. I sent it back to Sigma, they updated the firmware and all is good now.

It happens sometimes. I have the Tamron equivalent of this lens. It never quite had sharp focus. Sent it in, and it came back great.

And where do you think all those great Canon refurb lens deals come from?

you guys worried about this being a fake product?
Should I buy the squaretrade warranty? or does Sigma do a good job about customer service

Thanks!

I don't think this is a fake product. But it might not have Sigma warranty. It looks like a grey market lens to me.
The lens is fantastic. I used it for a few years before I bought a FF camera

*Newbie alert*: Apologies if I offend anyone from my question.
Could someone please tell me if I have Nikon 18-140mm f3.5-5.6G, will this lens do any good? I am looking to buy wide angle lens for Grand canyon trip for landscape photography plus good lens for Vegas portraits photography.

I'm somewhat of a noob myself. I think the main selling point of this lens is the f/2.8 aperture across all focal lengths, which will let more light in, allowing faster low-light exposures. Your Nikon lens is a very good lens, and I doubt you'd feel that this was an improvement
