I love my power blocks, but I've never seen them this cheap. The biggest difference is th3 bowflex is ALWAYS 16 inches wide which annoys me in every curling exercise. my Power blocks on the other hand even loaded up to 50 lbs are only 11.5 inches. I believe they would have to be 80 lbs to be as wide as the Bowflex. the power blocks are also expandable which was a huge selling point for me. they're easily worth the extra money to me, but 225 for 50 lb adjustable dumbbells is an awesome deal you should jump on. that being said The Power blocks for $300 is well worth it if you don't mind spending $75 more for them, or if you want to expand it later.

powerblocks seem to be favored compared to bowflex by the fitness community, but they rarely go on sale

Having shopped both and now owning Powerblocks I have to agree for one main reason - you can expand the Powerblocks (mine are expanded to 90) so they'll take longer to outgrow.

Just used the ones I bought a few days back for the first time. Really well built with less rattle than my other pair of adjustible dumbbells.

As many reviews state, they are a bit longer than regular dumbbells. I found myself using a hammer grip for a lot of sets.

At $225 these are a great price (or you could roll the dice that they are going to drop another 4 bucks...)

Oh, and nice to see Amazon fighting back against Walmart by matching the "pick up discount". Either that or the deal with Bowflex set the price of these and Walmart just added 12 bucks to the price.

They aren't. Return em. They'll break down even with just light use after a while. They all end up doing it...go with powerblocks.
