I just got the Costco circular for next week in the mail. It looks like the same 2TB drive is on sale for 69.99. The Coscto deal comes with 2 years worth of data recovery. This deal does not. TU for the post though!

To those that do have a membership, it does matter. That's why I posted. Smilie

Also, two years of data recovery is $24 on Newegg. The costo deal includes this, so even with tax it's a better value (assuming you're interested in the 2 years of recovery)

If you don't have a costco membership, this may be a slick deal. To those that do have one, not a slick deal.

Can these still be taken out of the casing? My PS4 needs an upgrade and it's cheaper to buy this instead of the bare drives, I know there's external support now but I rather have my USB ports free.

Yes, they can. The drive inside is a 2 TB Samsung SpinPoint M9T 2.5" SATA Internal 5400 RPM HDD.

I've had one of these in my PS4 for over a year now, works great. 2tb is almost needed these days if you play lots of games.

I really like the Seagate Backup Plus Slim, no need for external power is very nice. When we finally move to usb-c all the big hd will finally be able to run on the usb-c for power too.

Dumb question, but can these be used as a hard drive instead of a backup drive if I were to have a pc with a small SSD and just need more storage? Thanks.
