for playing catch, any of the gloves will do. the 11.5 is designed more for infielding, the 11.75 probably more aimed at pitchers with the way the web is designed and the 12.75 is for outfield. note the 12.75 is a very big glove. i would aim towards either of the 11" ones.

10.5" is the most popular size glove for adult infield. It would also be OK for your son. Ideally that age would use 10.25 for infield and 10.75 for outfield. 10.5" is in the middle which would be fine and he will grow into it and use it indefinitely as he grows older. My 10 year uses a 10.25 for all positions and will be able to use the glove for a few more years before he may want to consider a 10.5" for the infield.

Can't find any comparisons for the globe or reviews, and though $40 is a cheap price for a glove

the 12.75" look like it will work for slowpitch softball too. Not sure how flopper it will get after a few seasons.

It'd be nice, just once, to see a deal on a left-handed glove for me. I mean I already have too many gloves and love my HotH, but my point stands. :p

It'll be perfect for slowpitch. Just keep a ball in it when not in use, oil it, break it in, give it air to breathe by not keeping it in a ball bag, and it should be fine.

It's a great mit. Didn't take long to break in and is real comfortable.

with your HOH, i think you can pass that HOH to your kid when they're old enough to play softball or baseball. lol. Not sure about the LS Omaha though; it is better than the glove you get from walmart that is for sure.
