Amazon has Mars Veterinary Wisdom Panel 3.0 Breed Identification DNA Test Kit [amazon.com] for $51.26 right now, regularly $79.99 and rarely on sale.

(Edit: Chewy.com has matched [chewy.com] the offer with free shipping and no tax in most states. Thanks richejc for the tip!)

I have been looking for a deal on this dog DNA test for months but didn't see it dip anywhere until today. Seems to be really rare to see it dip at all. According to CCC, this is the lowest price it's ever been so if you're in the market, this is a great time to get this!

This is the best version of the Mars Wisdom Panel test (version 3.0) that you can find third party. Mars only sells version 4.0 directly from their website (WP.com). Both 3.0 and 4.0 use the exact same test and test for pretty much the exact same number of markers, no difference there. The only difference is that 4.0 gives you "Additional Trait Analysis" which basically means it tests for EIC (Exercise-induced collapse), which is an inherited genetic disorder that affects a dog's nerves and muscle and is characterized by notable exercise intolerance in otherwise normal dogs. Apart from this one extra test, 3.0 and 4.0 are identical (both test 1800+ markers, both test for wolf/coyote markers, both test for multi-drug sensitivity, etc.) so if you want to save a lot of money and aren't too concerned with EIC, you should consider getting the 3.0 with the current deal on Amazon.

Thanks, been waiting for a deal on this! I haven't checked in a while but the one I had saved in my Amazon wishlist, was showing $90, and says it was $99 when I added it, and it was the cheapest 3.0 in my search results when I did added that listing. That was before 4.0 was released though.

I tried to order 3 from Amazon but they had a limit of 1, so I went over to Chewy (as suggested here) and was able to purchase 3 @ $51.26 each, no shipping and no tax. Thanks everyone!

I bought these when they were full price. I thought the results were very accurate, I just wished they were more precise. They can only pick up breeds that make up at least 12.5% of the dog's DNA.

My one dog came back 50% American Staffordshire and 50% mixed. We could tell he was half American Staffordshire, or 'pitbull' as they are more commonly called, by looking at him. We were really curious to find out what else he was mixed with.

My other dog gets mistaken for a wolf or wolf hybrid a lot. He looks like a husky to me and we assumed he was 50% husky. He came back 25% husky, 25% lab, 12.5% German Shepherd and the rest mixed. The 3.0 does test for wolf so now we have proof he is 0% wolf.
