BlueTV (aka TVPad) Watch Taiwan/Hong Kong/China Channels LIVE with No Monthly Fees - $125.99 & Free Shipping

For those who liked the TVPad IPTV. It appears they rebranded and now call the new device "BlueTV".

After numerous email exchanges with a seller of the BlueTV, asking him several questions and trying to get a better price. The seller offered me a coupon code for $23 off and free shipping to bring the total cost to around $125.99. Not bad since BlueTV shows the retail price is $299 and sells around $150-180 on other websites I looked up.

Shipping is from Hong Kong, yet they use DHL Overnight so it should arrive within 2-3 days from Hong Kong. They sent me the tracking number shortly after my payment was confirmed.

After my old TVPad died, I've purchased several other Chinese IPTV boxes for my parents and relatives. They mostly wants to watch Chinese (mainly Taiwan channels) and soap opera shows, and most of the other Chinese IPTV boxes I tried had a lot of streaming and video quality issues or were harder to maneuver around for non-technical or older folks like my parents and relatives. My parents and relatives really liked the old TVPad, which made me willing to give the BlueTV a try.

I figured at $125, even if the BlueTV last 1-2 years, I'll be saving money since we spent $10-25 per month for the Chinese package offered by various providers.

I received my BlueTV and love it. Video quality if really good (HD quality) and no lag issues (I would recommend internet speed be at least 8Mbps). I have placed another ordered for a total of 6 more BlueTV from this seller for my parents and relatives.

Anyway, posting this to share for those who have parents/relative/friend wanting to watch LIVE Taiwan, China, Hong Kong channels and liked the old TVPad set up.

Feel free to contact the seller if you have any questions. They were really helpful on answering questions and replied pretty quickly. Note they are in Hong Kong so there is a time zone difference.

If the coupon code does not work, contact the seller and they can assist you. The coupon code did not work for me the 2nd time and I emailed them and they got it to work for me.

It's actually a pretty cheap price for even 1 year of live international cable TV and on-demand shows and movies. The alternatives are much more expensive monthly plans and you don't even get all the channels or on-demand shows from different networks or languages if you have a multilingual household. Actually, I don't know of an alternative that offers the same.

I mentioned BlueTV is rebranded from the people who made TVPad. Yes was I pissed TVPad no longer worked in the US but like I said in my original post. I felt they did have one of the better and stable TV box plus my parent and relative were able to use with ease and that was my main reason to get the BlueTV. I've tested my boxes out for the past 3 days and had zero lag issues and channels loaded up quickly (within 3 seconds).

Yes less apps BUT there are multiple selections within one app now vs in the past, one app only had one feature. Example StormTV app has live TV, soap opera, movies ... all within this one app vs in the old set up, one app only did one thing like a app called BTV on allowed you to watch Chinese TV. If you wanted to watch a movie, you'd have to go to another app and so on.

In my opinion this one app (StormTV) does most what users would need.

I understand it's not everyone and people might still be angry or upset with TVPad. Still I agree with the person who posted above. It is actually cheaper vs the paying monthly option even if the service shut down after 1 year. All of these TV boxes are a gamble and nothing in life is free. So all I am saying is this by far was the most stable and user friendly TV box I've used and my 2 cents on this. Plus the YouTube video link I provided is from a pretty reliable and knowledgeable person. He did a lot of apps and assisted people on the how to for the TVPad and I do trust his opinion. I'm actually hoping he'll post some how to modify post and or create some new apps in the near future.

Was only trying to help those who had parent or relatives who needed a service like this.

From what I read. The only the 1A works in the USA. 3 and 5 will not work in USA

I don't work for these companies so not defending them. Just sharing what I read.

I was a victim of TVPAD. I spent more than $400 purchased two units. Less than a year later, they were sued and lost. Their servers in US were shut down since. Avoid these TV boxes like plague.

If you want quality reliable service, subscribe the paid services. If you want free/cheap service, use any of the many third party apps. Yes, many of them have streaming /stability issues more or less. But, at least they are free, and you got nothing to lose.

Ha ha. Guess you were late to the party.

I bought my first TVPad in 2011 for $100. Upgrades to a new box for another $100. So total cost was $200 and used for 4-5 years. So it averaged $3-4 per month.

Yes best option is to pay a monthly subscription for best and stable results BUT even with paid subscription. It's not live and you are limited to maybe 5-8 channels in the package vs these boxes has a larger variety of channels and features. Not really a fair comparison and nothing is ever "free". You get what you pay for.

I've used Kodi and other third party app but the channels are very limited and really not live streaming TV. Plus as you mention quality is horrible.

Using Taiwan as an example, a lot of these free/third party apps, you can tell it's not live streams from Taiwan rather pre-recorded and marketed to US because a lot of these channels have commercials from the local market (i.e. US commercials) vs live stream has commercials that's from Taiwan. Plus the channels offered on the BlueTV has around 28 Taiwan live stream channels so they have a vast selection (I didn't count the Hong Kong of China channels since I really don't know much about their channel line up). So compared with the so called free apps you mentioned, the comparison is night and day and totally different.

Now some can say it doesn't matter if it live or pre-recorded, but it does matter to other so it's a personal preference and opinion. For my parents who plays the stock market in Taiwan, they want to watch the market activity live (well as live as if they were in Taiwan) vs delayed for hours.

Guess what I'm trying to say is there are middle option between monthly subscription vs "free" and limited. I'm okay with paying as little as possible ... this is Slickdeals 😂😜 ... but with this option, you have a lot more choices on what you want to watch plus it's a stable and high quality video method. Again, even if I average paying $5 per month. I'm okay with it. It beats paying DirecTV $25 per month or AT&T $20 per month with a lot less selections. This is only on TV channels, doesn't even factor in the VOD and movies and soap opera. I just watched Rouge One last night and quality was HD. So again, I'm happy with this box. My 2 cent so please do not take this as anything negative toward you or your posts. Everyone has different needs and wants. 😃
