You are correct.

Sorry to the OP; I made a mistake and compared two different models.

Nah man. Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 Play are different devices.

Also thinking of the Moto G4 Play. Unlocked model has been $100 a few times

In order from "least to greatest": Moto G4 Play -> Moto G4 -> Moto G4 Plus (comparison [phonearena.com])

The one in the OP is the 16GB memory/2GB RAM version of the Plus.

Sorry, but this isn't a good deal. This phone can be bought brand new at B&H Photo for $150. $135 for a refurbed isn't worthwhile.

BB had these new for $160 a few days ago. Here's a re-post of my comments there that several people seemed to find helpful:

Being a tabaholic, I much prefer the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version. The extra RAM makes a huge difference. If you're not as demanding of your phone as I am, this is a great phone. Fingerprint scanner is great (though I wish it handled more than 5 prints so my wife & I could both use it). Camera's surprisingly good, if a little slow to focus for the shot at times. The really big sell for me, though: it works on ALL major US carriers, so I can jump MVNOs at will thanks to Google Voice.

Nougat OTA is available & with a couple minor complaints (that are common to all versions of Nougat that I've seen so it's likely Google's fault), it's good. Really hate that Google inexplicably decided to no longer show the alarm time next to the current time in the notification shade - used to tap on it to quickly get to clock app to change the alarm time. With the help of an app, I've been able to add a custom shortcut on the quick settings area, but it's far less intuitive and logical.

Also, the battery can be replaced much more easily in the G4 than the new G5 - another big selling point for me as I expect I'll have to do so at least twice before I'm ready to upgrade again. What can I say? I'm a heavy user.

With the $160 price recently for brand new, this doesn't seem that great. But if you need one right away, it's probably worth it.

One of last year's best budget phones is on sale for $159.
http://www.androidcentral.com/gra...and-amazon
The Moto G5 Plus is now available on Amazon for $229 for the variant with 2GB of RAM and 32GB storage, but if you're looking for a phone in the $150 price range, last year's Moto G4 Plus is a capable device. The phone is now on sale at Best Buy for $159 for the version with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. If you're an Amazon Prime subscriber, you'll be able to pick up the phone for $159 from the retailer.

Yesterday, I spent $50 more on the Amazon Ads version of the newer G5 Plus.

Here's a post that got no love:

Though I would likely have bought the Best Buy G4, just to have a phone immediately. I'm waiting for UPS now on the G5 Plus.

It's the more popular model due to the extra RAM and storage, I think the lowest it has been is ~$200 refurbished: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/motor...Id=5492004
