Review from NewEgg gives me pause: "Cannot boot with any other harddrive attached. There is some kind of network security that hasn't been taken off these computers that won't allow another harddrive to function, PERIOD. Doesn't matter if it's a bare drive or a drive with another OS."

Has anyone bought one of these and added a hard drive successfully? Tempted, but I would want to add a SSD.

Better deal for most here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/WH-Dell-P...SwA3dYmecN

10,000 RPM HD, Quadro 4000, 16 GB ram, 635watt gold PS - can easily connect a GTX1080 - and raid card for the same price.

Indeed better deal, T3600 is also quieter than Z420. only not as many as HDD slot.

Using the COA to install win 10 pro is straight forward and no need to hunt drivers.

still trying to figure out how to install 2.5 ssd though.

I pulled the raid card. Make sure you use sata port 0 or 1 though.

do you need an adapter for the 2.5 SSD? if so, any recommendation?
Is the boot time much improved?

thanks

By some but due to the bios, this system will always take longer to boot. I just used a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter for the SSD that I had lying around. I also re-pasted the CPU. Ended up selling the quadro and raid card for $100 and with the 10% ebay bucks, this ended up costing me $220 with shipping.

The previous listing did. However, if you look at the photos closely you will see a raid card in the picture.
