I didn't say it was a bad deal. In fact, I was almost tempted to buy it.

I just wanted other SDers to be aware because 90% of TVs include tuners and this one doesn't. Hell, more than a few of the customer reviewers got caught off guard by this so it's definitely something everyone should know about just in case.

Got one. I've been waiting for a deal on this set. Tax kind of sucks, came out to $727.88 here in California, but still better than other prices right now. My 720p Samsung plasma from 2008 just died.

I'm really hoping the IPS panel on this 60" is as good as the VA ones on the rest of the M series line-up. I'm not a super picky person if my blacks aren't that deep, inky black. I looked at an IPS LG lower-end model in Target recently and thought it looked fine, and this set is supposed to be much better.

It does both HDR 10 and Dobly Vision if I'm understanding it correctly. I really want to start buying 4k Blu-rays, and I am assuming this will play them?

Be aware, the M-series doesn't include a built-in TV tuner, making this something more similar to a monitor than a TV set!

buy now, thinks later
Subtotal(1 item)$669.03
Shipping Free
Estimated TaxTax$58.21
Estimated TotalTotal$727.24

this is the one with IPS https://www.cnet.com/products/viz...d0/review/ if that matters to you
I have to think about it.

More visible, however, might be the effect of the IPS (in-plane switching) LCD panel used on the 60-inch size. In the past I've found IPS has worse image quality than VA (vertical alignment), the panel type used on the other sizes.

Input lag is great. For best results, use HDMI5 with 'Game Low Latency' on for both 1080p and 4k resolutions. Note that HDR is only possible for HDMI 1, and so the input lag is higher.

I'm still debating to go big with the KS8000 65" but it's double the cost.

I have the M60-C3 since last year and it's one of the best TV's for pc gaming. Playing at 120htz/(frame per seconds) is night and day. Some high fps monitors cost around the same price. The VA panel is awesome. Haven't seen the IPS version but I'm sure once calibrated it'll look awesome too.
