Microcenter currently has the Auria EQ276WN 27" monitor for $149 in store. This is also available for shipping, price varies by location ~$19 to east coast.

Maximum Resolution 2880 x 1620 (up scaling)
2560 x 1440 Native Panel Resolution

CONNECTIVITY
1 - VGA
1 - HDMI
1 - DVI
1- DisplayPort

This is a 2014 model with decent reviews. the 2880 x 1620 is more marketing than anything else, but the monitor looks great at its native 2560 x 1440.

If the monitor is out of stock at your store, or if you don't live near a microcenter change your store to "Micro center web store" for shipping availability.

is this worth getting over a cheaper 1080 monitor? I'm not sure about the differences in gaming, and I doubt my rig could run a 1440 p super well.

AC adapter will die after a year or so, but replacements are cheap (I just picked up a universal and spliced the connector in).

And watch out for the non working replacements which seem to be half of them. I think all the direct replacements have less amps as well.
Been using this for a while and it's great. Too bad it's out of stock.

I'm typing on this monitor now and have had it since 2014 or so. It's no frills and needs some color calibration if you're going to do any design work on it, but it's solid otherwise. $149 is a steal for a 1440p IPS display last I checked.

Still in stock online

Some pretty horrendous experiences with these things failing on amazon.

This verision has a built in power supply. So its not an external brick, like the previous model.

Noticed 90 days warranty only. Would be a better choice the purchase micro center warranty with extended credit card warranty for this product. Last time after 2 weeks sears put 100 28 inch 4K monitor on sale, the product company UPSTAR went bankruptcy and never exist any more.

I wanted one of these when they were $300 a few years ago but they were always OOS at my local MC. The inventory checker today says they're in stock. For half price I might just grab one to replace my 23" Dell IPS display.

After research I found the manufacturer has already bankrupted, no more warranty provided by the manufacturer. Remember to purchase your own warranty with micro center.

careful with credit card free extended warranty. for example, my amex, if the product comes with a warranty less than a year, they will only double the warranty. in this case, warranty will only be 180 days for my annex instead of at least 1 year.
