Sears has this mower in their spring black Friday deal. I just got a John Deere D105 from the earlier Lowes deal and returned it to get this one. This was in my opinion a much better machine and priced a lot lower with this deal. More horse power, 4 wheels instead of 2 on the deck keeps it from burning my grass when i mow along the ditch, metal hood instead of the plastic on the JD mower, a stronger engine, mow in reverse without having to press that button, and perhaps more importantly a 6 in turn radius (which is ridiculously good for a tractor this size. It also has one petal for forward and reverse and cast iron front axle. Press forward with your toe to go up and back to reverse. Overall this was way better than the JD. The only downside is that Sears will probably be going out of business before the warranty even runs up, so i opted out of the extended.

For those that have a discover card they are also offering 5% back at home improvement stores making this even sweeter. I think the deal is only good for today and Monday so may not want to wait.

Just found out you can use a vpn to spoof location for this. Went from $1399 in mn to $1099 when connected to a east coast server. Still pick it up at local store.

keep an eye on sears and their brands-- they are going to offload craftsman first and then probably go under soon.

I work at the factory that produces the John Deere mowers, I can personally guarantee we make all of them ourselves (100 Series and residential ZTrak in Greeneville, TN and the X series in Horicon)

Most of the John Deere mowers are made by the same company as the Craftsman. Look at them when you get a chance.

Wish I could justify this for my quarter acre. My old mower is still running fine however

ALL John Deere mowers are made in Deere's own factories. The 100 series in Greenville, TN and everything else in Horicon, WI.

From looking at them myself, the JD tractors at Home Depot look an awful lot like AYP, and the Craftsman yard and garden tractors.

I'm not seeing a lot of proof from others, but I did find this:
