For some reason I'm getting charged tax on the refill card which makes this not as slick but still good.

ouch tax and fees bring $40 up to $37.37 in my state. Target at 10% off is still king when they run it.

It is the old cricket SIM card, and the online ordered SIM card package would not be activated at BB because Cricket system will not recognize the online order. You have to ask BB CSR/Cashier to cancel the online sim card order and to place an in-store order to activate the sim card package.

I'm not sure about this but I'm thinking I should order the refill card for shipping and do store pick up for the sim, then don't pick up the sim card

would the discount still apply?

Why don't you just order both and let BB ship them to you? You don't have to use the SIM card.

No the SIM card BB shipped would not be in Cricket system since it's not activated (or registered) in the system as sold.

This is regular price with the taxes added... Just wait for Target to have 10% off and use your red card for another 5% totaling 15% off. Target doesn't charge tax either so if you factor that in, Target is technically 20%+ off.
