I'm sorry you'll get a lot of flak over this because people hate United because they've been trained to check the "I've read the terms & conditions" box without reading the terms & conditions.

In case people are wondering what the "5/24 rule" is:

If Chase credit card applicants have applied for five or more credit cards from any issuer in the last twenty four months, Chase will likely deny the application (even if the applicant has impeccable credit).

Nope. 50K, with the rare bump to 60K or 70K, usually targeted / short-term.

True to some degree. Automated system will reject you for being over 5/24, but agents will not consider being an AU as an opened account.
