Ya, you're just taking the same image and blowing it up. It's a pretty useless upgrade from a productivity standpoint since you don't gain any usable space. For media consumption, bigger is usually better but what you have is by no means small or anything. I wouldn't bother to move up to a 34" UW in your case unless its 3440x1440.

this is a great monitor for dedicated gaming. 75hz is just great esp if you are using AMD cards. 5ms response is on the average side of the fence but considering this is IPS it's just fine.

for work, however, 32" is really big for 1080p.

I almost got the curved 1440p version of this. Sometimes wish I waited and got one but so far I'm happy with my Omen 32. Still might get an UW down the road though.

looks promising. i don't care even if it's 1080p. i mean if you're going to bash an ultrawide freesync monitor (2017 model), make sure you have an SLi gtx1080 first.

I have this monitor and love it. You can also over clock it to 75hz really easily on Nvidia cards as well (Google it) . Colors are beautiful on it. And playing Mass Effect (and other games) on it could make you drool. It's a great monitor for the price. Really glad I got one.

Beat me to it. I have last year's model and just read this last week. Haven't tried it but seen many posts of guys saying it's easy to do.

seems like a decent deal but I already have a 29 inch UW that is 2560x1080 don't see this as enough of an upgrade. Also doesn't same resolution on bigger screen mean it's less clear?

dam tempted like most of you guys, but 1080p really kills it. I would jump on this in a heartbeat if it was 1440p.
