This knife is also known as Rike Thor 3 or Armorhide S35VN. There are few videos about it in a different language, but they offer very nice close ups.

I am not a knife expert but I have owned benchmade 950 and few other customs. This one has S35VN steel blade and titanium alloy handle. I like that it has longer handle and thicker blade. Blade around 91mm

$66 + free shipping

it's on clearance, only around 30 left

I know gearbest sells a lot of different brands, but I just always assumed brands like Ganzo were made by gearbest or they had a 3rd party make it for them.

When you say "also known as..." are they all made by the same mfgr? If so, who is it? If not, did gearbest take the design and have their own shop make it to the specifications of the original?

Looked interesting until I saw it was from GearBest... For this price you can buy several other knives that are much better and some even made in the good ol' US of A !

Maybe I'm missing something. But I'll never understand paying premium prices for Chinese knives. Especially when some of the Ganzo offerings are easily found under $15. I'd put a $66 American made knife against anything coming out of China today. And I own many from both countries. In my opinion the quality control just isn't there. And that goes for most Chinese items. Maybe in time that will change, but I'd never drop $50+ on a knife like this. Especially from a company like Gearbest with their horrid return policy. (They make the customer pay to return the merchandise even if THEY are at fault). And then you often have to fight with them to get your refund.

I laughed out loud reading this one. I have no prob buying a $300 made in china knife made by WE or Reate. I am so so on Rike's style. I question whether this one is really made by Rike. But I will say this. People who immediately slam a knife made in China obviously doesnt know anything about knives. Even those knife knuts that buy only made in the USA will acknowlege a high end China knife. Whether they will buy em is their prerogative

it's a good question. many times we dont know oem but generally, if product is known by several brand names, oem is same, and they just make it for everyone else under different names.

many usb chargers, cables, etc are 99% same and made by 1-3 chinese oems and spread over 100's of brands. there are some differences for sure, like qc, but in this case i didnt hear any issues whatsoever

The type of steel doesn't negate the horrid quality control with the majority of Chinese made items. Then we have the whole "supporting slavery" situation. And for the environmental crackpot crowd you could make an argument that China is the biggest polluter in the world. Doing business with a country that only seems to care about the almighty dollar, over their own workers and the world at large is something everyone should consider before forking over their cash. Then we have the whole GearBest's awful return policy situation.

but you still missed the type of steel, and you also missed the fact that you were not paying a premium. As a matter of fact, you would've been paying quite a discount.

Who is actually going to send it off for metallurgical analysis to find out if the steel is actually what they claim?
