I got an email today from Blu Products so I thought I'd share. Amazon is having a one day sale on the NEW Blu R1 Plus, regularly $160. Alternately, Best Buy is having the same promotion.

https://www.amazon.com/BLU-R1-Plu...1+plus+blu

IT'S LIVE NOW!

5'5" 720 Display
32 GB storage + 3 GB Ram
4000 mAh battery
Aluminum housing
SD slot up to 64 GB
Selfie camera has front facing flash
Android 6.0

Looks like a good deal to me, the only real shortcoming being the 720 display

Unlocked GSM/ This means it will work with any ATT or Tmobile carrier but will NOT work with Sprint or Verizon

Please spare us the spyware comments. We all know about it, and most know it was taken care of months ago and is NOT present in any recent models, like this one.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Price went up. $159.99 now.

Specifications: http://bluproducts.com/devices/r1-plus/

I believe Best Buy's product page is incorrect.

$160 - BLU - R1 Plus 32GB Cell Phone, SKU 5823017, should be model R0071UU, NOT R0051UU. The 32GB variant has 3GB RAM, not 2GB as listed in BB's page [bestbuy.com].

$140 - BLU - R1 Plus 16GB Cell Phone, SKU 5807205 is model R0051UU [bestbuy.com], with 2GB RAM, is OOS.

Supported LTE bands: B2/4/7/12/17. Missing B5/29/30 for AT&T and B66 for T-Mo.

Best Buy link [bestbuy.com], but currently OOS.

A food of thought for those who cares

Says 24 hours, so I would assume it starts at midnight. I just noticed it has a 720 display-- always something lol. I tried out the Blu Life One X2 Mini (I was one of the few who got one for $130). It was very nice, fast and attractive, and the display was beautiful. I just hated the external speaker because I use speakerphone a lot. Plus I'm used to having a 5.5" display. Let's see what this one's like. I plan to order one.

Tip--, buy from Amazon because BB charges $35 restocking fee for phones.

Which tmobile phone/deal are you waiting for? I am looking to replace my kid's ancient Samsung S4 (brand new batteries - tried 2 replacements - drain to < 30% by late afternoon) and am shopping for a good deal as well. Need 1080p and VoLTE/Band 12.

Edit: Wanted replaceable battery too, but that seems to be a rarity these days. The Nextbit Robin deal was tempting but the lack of microSD and uncertainty over free cloud storage after Feb 2018 held me back.

Last I heard the Best Buy model only has 2GB ram... normally $140 vs $160 for the 3GB model at Amazon..

If they are the same price tomorrow, then Amazon is going to be the much better buy...

No quick charge.

This battery thing is a scam. They know you have to junk the phone and buy a new one with the battery goes bad.

Don't know. But Amazon has a longer return period and no re-stocking fee.

I thought the 2 GB Ram version had only 16 GB storage and was supposed to sell for about $100 normally. I couldn't find the phone on the BB site in any configuration

when you buy those batteries from ebay or some place similar, look for the genuine listing and usually those batteries with NFC is usually gunuine/oem. I already bought 2 batteries and all works like new for my note 4.
