Don't crucify me for the question due to the lack of knowledge I have over these things but why do some people buy multiple drives?
Is it mostly RAID builders?
Just curious.

Most of these will go into a NAS Smilie Just ordered 3 units thanks OP

These have a WD RED inside, the only reason it's worth the $180.

WD reds end up working better than lets say a blue or a green at the long term. people raid them, but personally I think this bought because it is the lowest i have seen hdds for a nas go for

Well, I bit the bullet on this one. Hoping I also find a WD Red inside to use in my new TiVo Bolt+. Should end up with around 1200 hours of HD recording space after upgrading.

SWEET...!!!
