Trackpad for lefties?

I know it has number keypad. Still no reason to shift the trackpad to the left.

I'm looking for a laptop for the family to use with $500 being about Max budget. Just need it for basic computing web surfing and multimedia needs. Should I jump on this or wait?

Minus the concerns for spyware, I would say Lenovo makes better computers.

This checks a lot of boxes. A few items to note are a plastic chassis, a bit heavy, and that dog slow 5400 rpm spinning hard drive. Decent desktop replacement otherwise, especially if you need a number pad. I recommend checking it out in store. Sometimes spending a little more gets you much better quality. This isn't bad.

There is another model from Acer which has similar configuration but comes with 256GB SSD and no dedicated graphics and a TN Panel display. So that will be faster in normal works due to its faster SSD but bad for Multimedia since it has a TN Panel:

This one, on the other hand, has dedicated graphics caard and an IPS Panel.

To me the preference is 100% Acer due to SSD. HDD is MUCH slower!

why not just go for chromebook. is much more cheaper and faster since your requirements is so basic.

Please don't choose a 5400rpm and 1TB drive, you will be cursed to death.
Had a i7 quad HQ machine and sucked a lot due to the 5400rpm drive. Just need to throw them away.

This will meet your needs, but is overkill. Chromebook's an idea, but even a decent laptop for basic needs will run less than $400. SD is a good place to research.

I have a 256 GB SSD. If I were to install that to replace the 1 TB HD, would I have difficulty reinstalling W10 because the license is hardware-dependent?
