It looks like Target got smart and dropped the floor protection plan

Do not buy a Neato product without a plan to get your money back when it breaks.

These have been sitting on Target shelves for awhile. If you buy this you might consider going for one that has to be shipped and waiting the 4-7 days

If you use your Target Card it will take off another 5 percent

This is a protection plan Target is offering for Dyson Vacuums

Add this to increase the battery life of your D3

So can you add a protection plan like the Dyson's vs a Floor protection plan?

I do not have any experience making that work. That is the plan that is listed with other vacuums. I am hoping someone has a way to buy this with a protection plan.

Neatos are great products but have a high failure rate. So it is best to buy someplace where it can be returned like Costco, etc.

Hopefully someone who has an idea on how to make this deal work will post.

This model is not selling because of no side brush and poor battery life.

Target has been trying to move this model since Black Friday, my store has 2 instock but it is clear they are models that have been returned to the store.

I have been waiting for this model to show up on the end caps.

Yeah I have a Neato Essentials from a Walmart deal about 2 yrs ago. I bought a 3yr plan from Walmart and the battery life is terrible and one of the two I bought acts weird and gets lost all the time.

I still have to try and get the walmart to repair.

I also got in on the $50 Neato Essential Deal. One of mine got weird and Walmart sent me a brand new Neato Essential. I was worried Walmart would refund my $99 dollar payment.

Oh you got a deal for $50! So Walmart still has those essentials in stock to replace? Did you have to send the old one back?

$50 Dollar Neato (My Deal)
https://slickdeals.net/e/7782133-neato-xv-essential-bagless-vacuum-with-bonus-accessories-149-after-...

I did have to send the old one back and received in exchange a brand new Neato Essential in sealed box. I have 4 Neato Essentials and they are still going strong. Hopefully they will break before the 3yr warranty expires.(I bought a 3yr warranty so maybe my coverage will last for 4ys. 1yr manufacture warranty plus 3 yrs?) I have been running them almost daily since April 15th. 2015.

Has anyone bought OP's deal

The D3 only has the combo brush and I prefer spiral blade brush for my tile surface.

We need a slickdeal on a squaretrade warranty to make this deal work

Looks like that incentive is gone now. I was on the fence this morning and it showed the discount. Guess that makes my decision to wait easier. I keep on going back and forth between the Neato Connected line and Roomba 900 series.

same here. I have Botvac 80 model. it died (the common right/left wheel stuck error) on me recently. I got full refund through my credit card company + SquareTrade insurance tried to repair it and it died again. So I am also just waiting on either one of them. Neato (especially out of warranty, Funai) service is terrible.

Can you walk me through what you did.

Filed on Credit Card for refund and also had a Square Trade Warranty correct?

Neato's once great customer service is now hit or miss.

A am trying to figure out a way I can buy a Neato at Target and get my money back when it breaks

Sure.
1. Purchase using one of the cards that offers extended warranty (Amex, Discover, Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve and many others).
2. In order to max your insurance coverage period, wait until the last day of the 30-day period following purchase of Neato (I bought from Kohl's in Feb/Mar 2015), I purchased SquareTrade insurance, 3 year coverage back then.
3. As soon as I had an issue with Neato (out of warranty issue) in 2017, I filed a claim with my credit card company to get a full refund and then also filed a claim with SquareTrade to repair Neato. SquareTrade, just to avoid the trouble, offered to refund the purchase price or pay for the repairs. Being stupid, I chose the 2nd option.

In warranty Neato is more or less okay. Responsive. Replaced my unit when laser sensor failed. However, out of warranty it is a real-real s**t-show. Some bs Funai repairs the units. Takes a month to run diagnostics. They overcharged my card. Took them 2 months to send it back to me. I received it last week, they did not repair the very issue I complained about. I am thinking just getting the full price of the unit back from SquareTrade and trying a more premium model (900s series) of Roomba, just to be able to compare myself.
