Well son of a _____... I just paid retail for the trimmer and blower this weekend. Hope they'll do a price adjustment or I'm gonna return this stuff. Thanks for the post OP.

I'm going to hold off for a year. I still have gas powered versions (PITA to maintain) but once dewalt, bosch, etc..all come out with comparable products for tool heavy folks, I'm willing to bet the prices will drop more, OR more importantly, they'll design the trimmer for attachments.

For those without gas yard tools, the reviews look amazing on this. I'm tempted to pull the trigger anyhow just because it's the SD thing to do....

I came to the store and they said it's online only. So I guess I have to return my trimmer too.

How effective are the 18v yard tools? I have Milwaukee 18v hand tools and they're great, but I went with green works 40v for yard tools.

Hmm which kit to get?!?! I currently have Black & Decker corded versions of both the hedge trimmer and blower/mulcher. Any suggestions for a newish homeowner?

the link with extra 9.0 battery actually has an extra 5.0 along with the regular 9.0 that is part of the trimmer kit and included in the other 2 package deals... am I missing something ?

Yup, I just got back from the store. The girl in the store said to order the online deal, and then use my old receipts to return the new tools. Kind of a pain in the ass but worth imo, online order is supposed to arrive this thursday.

Weed eater and trimmer the 18v are okay ... blower not so much.

To be on par with the gas or electric, you need 40v at least.

I used the trimmer this weekend, it's perfect for a small yard. Has enough attitude to be comparable to my old husqvarna.
