The cheaper one has a slower processor and only 32-bit Windows 10 vs 64-bit in the new one. Some apps are now only supporting 64-bit versions of Windows 10.

I got this same one back in Dec for 60 dollars. It's ok... not great. Good to have a throwaway windows tablet anyway.

Got this case for it which fits nicely, though the case isn't great either didn't feel like dropping a lot of money on a case for a cheapy tablet.

http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-ac...01457.html

Took about a month for the case to show up.

Just make sure your expectations aren't too high and you'll be happy with it.

I have one of these. It is a fun toy, but it is not fast, so I can't really recommend as a primary tablet.

FYI. It will be VERY SLOW when you first get it. It has lots of Windows updates to download and install and that takes several days! After that the speed is acceptable.

The screen is very bright and with some setting changes, the battery life is ok.

Thanks for the link to the case. I haven't been able to find one until now!

Your welcome, There was a big discussion on cases in the december deal thread for this tablet. Took a while but someone eventually confirmed this one worked so I ended up ordering and was happy with it. Definitely worth the 5 bucks if you're getting (or have) this tablet.

Returned mine due to the lack of 5GHz Wi-Fi support. Couldn't stream my Xbox One to it for remote gameplay in the next room using 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

So I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro that literally yesterday the micro-USB port went bad and it won't charge anymore. I can get it fixed for ~$35/40. How does this tablet compare the the DV8P? Its always run well, and more than fast enough for browsing, e-mail, and Football Manager. I've tried using my kindle fire for web browsing, but its sooo slow.

Just trying to figure out if this for $70 is better than fixing my dell for 1/2 that.

The Nuvision appears to be 15% faster, and more power efficient: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/compa...cmp[]=2079

Neither. It's NuCrap.

Please don't buy this Nuvision crap. (I posted about it in another thread when the same cheap Nuvision crap tablet came up within the last couple of weeks but this story comes with a recent update.)

I bought an 8 inch tablet December in a sale like this for $59. The power button broke and they wouldn't honor their warranty by saying it was physical damage. It wasn't dropped, thrown, etc. All I did was push the button to turn it on and the button stayed in and it wouldn't power up. This was within 60 days, their warranty is 1 year. After arguing with 3 different reps about how this was all bs they said their "team would take a look at it", I sent it back on my dime. Never heard a word back. All of a sudden last week out of nowhere, I got it back by ups. Guess they figured they should fix it. I literally used it for 6 days. 6. Days. And the same thing happened except this time it kept turning off while using it. I would turn it on and it would stay on for 5-10 seconds. I called to return it, again, and the rep told me to hold the button in for 30 seconds. It didn't turn on and guess what? The button stayed inside. After I told her what happened, she said "get a toothpick and stick it in there to pry out the button." Really ?!

Of course, that didn't work and when I said it still didn't work she said "sorry it now has physical damage and will not be covered." Wow. Eff off, NuVision.

Please don't buy this or any Nuvision craptastic deal. If you do, use it for 29 days and then return it to the Microsoft store. At least they'll take it back in a 30 day window.

Have you contacted Microsoft or your CC provider? I'd start with Microsoft and ask for a replacement/refund and if they balk tell them you plan to do a chargeback. If they still tell you to pound sand, go do a chargeback.

I bought one a few months ago and returned it as well. Save your money and get something nicer.
