Best food processor, recommended as an "essential tool [seriouseats.com]" by Serious Eats.

I've been waiting for this deal to pop up. Thanks OP!

Pulled the trigger on this one. Will wait now and see if any savvy slickdealer will prove that is not a good deal. To me it looked pretty good for this highly rated and highly praised food processor.
I also used the Citi Costco credit card and I checked with them, their extended warranty covers refurbished items as well as long as they are manufacturer refurbished and come with manufacturer warranty. Nice thing about it is that they extend the warranty by 2 additional years.

This looks like a pretty great deal. Tempting but I gotta hold back, too much of a kitchen appliance junkie.

I got a great deal on the 14 cup Cuisinart for $140 on Amazon. It usually goes for $150-$200. Can't imagine paying an extra $110 for a refurb. Are there noteworthy differences besides 2 extra cups and a storage box for the cutters?

Damn, that's a great deal on the Cuisinart.

This one is 'only' an 11 cup but goes on sale for $90-100 quite often. Just set a camel alert.

This is an absolute beast of a food processor. I just bought one from Bed, Bath and Beyond. Paid $320 for it using a 20% off coupon.
If you don't mind refurbished goods (which I am not a fan of), then this is a killer deal.
Breville really got it right with the design features on this product. It works brilliantly and is so versatile.

I too am usually not a fan of refurb, espicially if it has moving parts but I purchased the Breville smart oven from woot refurn for 80 and it was totally worth it.

Breville is known to have good QA for refurb

That's news to me. I placed my order over the phone, they didn't have it in stock at the store. Shipped it to my door for free, 20% off.

Another Breville fan here. I purchased a refurbished juicer that's still running and a new coffee grinder that's never given me a problem. My next food processor will be a Breville or Robot-Coupe.
