Bought one last week and going to have to return it.

Issues experienced, even after updating all the drivers:

- Ghost touch. I'd love the track pad and then the cursor would jump up to the top corner.
- MicroUSB port loose
- Screen alignment. Sometimes the screen would be upside down. I'd have to turn and shake it to change it.

I like the size, the battery life, and the weight and price. Speed wasn't too bad, as long as you were just doing basic things in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. I was even able to play Halo: Spartan Assault at over 30 fps (that the dual stick, overhead spin-off)

the screen alignment thing is from using a gyro to sense direction I believe. they are finicky even on phones etc but I agree should not be a persistent thing.

the ghost touch has plagued them for years as I have one of the first windows 8 transformers and it goes to the bottom left. I talked to a few people with the device and they never had the issue. it's common if you search the product line and issue online though.

all in all if you don't get a finicky one Asus makes a darn fine device. I over looked the ghost touch flaw and just lived with it since everything else was great on the device. it's annoying as hell though. Asus will apparently say there is no issue so I never pressed it. no other great options at the time.

Right away I noticed what's causing your problems. You're not supposed to be making love to your trackpad. laugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loud

The microUSB port is probably loose due to the same method of "user input". LMAO

Senior citizens maybe complain that "them words is too small on that there screen" as if Windows scaling doesn't exist. Meanwhile, corporate accountants LOVE any chance to spend less on parts if there's any creaky reason.

Reinstalling Windows 10 improved performance!
One of the biggest drawbacks mentioned universally to this model is it's sluggish performance, and I agreed once purchased and tested by me. However, acting on one reviewer's theory that reinstalling (refreshing) the Windows 10 (64-bit) installation from disk might greatly improve performance, worked for me. I've been using it for almost a month now and find it nearly as fast/responsive as another I5-processor laptop I have. I also didn't find any driver deficiencies (Asus-specific) after reinstalling Windows 10 (Version 1607). As an example, loading Chrome browser before reinstalling took 5-8 seconds, but after the OS refresh it loads in 1-2 seconds.

For stuff with tablet modes I recommend Bluetooth to save a USB slot and go wireless without an extra thing sticking out. Pretty much all tablets have Bluetooth built in.

Is the process for restoring from disk written out anywhere? Does the windows key get detected automatically after reinstall?
