I agree with the switchable graphics post above. I had one for years and it was just a terrible experience for all the reasons he stated. I don't recommend anything with switchable graphics. last time i had a amd few years back they were way worse than intel. used to heat up a lot, was dog slow for the same clock speed. how is amd now any improvements?

The way this laptop is setup is "dual graphics" (see specs) Windows will 'attempt' to switch between using the onboard graphics and the AMD gpu depending on the application. In my own experience, the driver support was horrible, and updating resulted in constantly disabling the dedicated gpu. I wiped and reinstalled at least 16 times and gave up, but maybe driver support for switchable is better now... /shrug

I'm in the market as well for a laptop. I am not a gamer, and my budget is on the 500 mark. I like the fact that it has 16gb DD4 Ram...Should I click the Buy it Now button?? thanks!

Could you play newer games on low to medium settings with this?

Found my answer. .... Which is at very low FPS.... So, No.
