Uhh, looking at reviews it sounds like this unit has a faulty new design that causes it to stop working after 30 minutes. Something about the carb and a floater and a pin needing to be cleaned.

Doesn't sound like something I want to deal with.

I was looking at that too. I read one review and thought for sure the reviewer used bad gas. But then I noticed several other reviewers experienced the same problem. I'll pass on this deal as there appears to be a systemic defect behind the reduction in price.

Don't like it don't like it don't like it I would stay clear from this brand heard too many bad things about it. I have a Generac and have been real happy with it, it's been one of the highest rated power washers for a long time.

I have this machine, used it for about a half hour and then wouldn't work--I brought it back to lowes, they sent it out for repair and it came back with the same diagnosis -- carb needed cleaning-- tried it when it came back and it work, but really haven't used it again--

If you are patient you can grab a refurbished Honda powered one for about the same price. Just do a search on here for power stroke. If you need one now get the Subaru one at costco and get a good return policy with it.

I just fixed my neighbor's one year old lawnmower with what I believe is the same engine and was surprised to see the 98% plastic carburetor. I can't tell for sure because I ended up spraying carb cleaner through all the orifices, but I believe the problem was a clog at the float needle seat that prevented it from getting enough gas.

If you end up with one of these Briggs engines be sure to use ethanol-free gas and drain the tank and bowl before storage. But even if you end up having carb problems, once you figure out how to disconnect the carb, it has very few parts and is pretty easy to clean. And with o-ring seals, you won't even have to change any gaskets.

I think jeff34270 his the nail right on the head, ethanol in the gas is the problem--as I said I had this problem with this washer and also with my ariens snow blower with a briggs engine--best do as he said ethanol free gas and drain the gas when in storage

i've never really paid attention to what is in gas.....just premium vs regular

is ethanol free gas something that someone can readily and easily get anywhere at any gas station? I am in NJ, so use as frame of ref.

Only specific stations sell it. It's usually fairly well advertised on the pump, but it may take some searching. I'd recommend getting a medium sized can and filling it with ethanol-free gas and a good stabilizer for use in all small engines.

I have no idea how complete this site is, but it's a start: http://www.pure-gas.org/

If you can't find any (there are literally hundreds of stations in WI but only a few in NJ), there areshelf stable options [google.com], but they're pricey. Example:

My generac power washer looks brand new and no one can get it to run. Been used like 3 times in its life.
