I bought one similar to this
[coscoproducts.com]

for $80 today at my Costco. It's a great unit and well worth $80. It's, strong, well-designed, light and fairly compact. I couldn't find it listed on Costco.com. The only difference I can see to mine and the ones listed below is that instead of individual grips, mine has a plastic handle that spans the difference between the two handles, and it also has 2 additional vertical supports equally spaced in the center. The layout may be slightly different, and stronger in my opinion. It's a really slick design, and converts from one setup to the other in a matter of seconds. You can't go wrong with this one for $80. I think it goes back to $100 around the middle of the month.

I am not sure what the differences are, but Amazon sells one for $157. https://www.amazon.com/Cosco-Alum...B00HOGSOPG

And Home Depot sells one for $157 also. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cosco-.../205035247

Here is the exact one that you can purchase for $80 at Costco. http://costcocouple.com/wp-conten...stco-2.jpg

Costco has sold this "NEWER" model for over two years and it is NOT AS GOOD AS the older model are currently sold on amazon.com & Home Depot. That is why it costs almost 50% less.

The "NEWER" model has sold at Costco has more METAL PARTS and it is not strong as old model with 100% Aircraft Aluminum parts (I am not talking about nuts, bolts wheels, etc.)

Right. I'd take this one at half the price to the one that either Amazon or Home Depot sells any day. The differences are just fluff speak. I don't plan on getting mine airborne, and God help me if I do.

Edit: I think mine is the older type, it is built like a tank and has 2 additional vertical center supports than the one I posted.

It all depends on usage. My 500lb rated magliner has seen 700+ lbs. if you're taking out the trash you shouldn't have a problem.

I hope to be hauling 4-6 200 lb totes on fairly flat ground.

That is foolish. Don't hurt anyone.

When it's a refrigeration compressor or a forklift battery it's works well. Two person tip and a flat surface. Trust me. There's nobody getting hurt. (500 and 702lbs respectively ).

Both of which keep the load steady because boring shifts. Also helps that they're strapped to it. Please tell me an easier way to move them in a confined space.

Don't think so, it usually goes on sale once a year.
