Seems like a solid price for an entry level monitor.

I don't like that they try to say this is a $189 monitor to begin with... at most it is maybe $109 or something closer to $100.

This thing only has DVI & VGA connections, they are probably dying to get rid of them at Dell. If this thing was $50 up front, then maybe it would be a good option, but add in the work of a rebate, you're better off spending a few more bucks on something else.

The HP 21.5" I got for $60 was a better option due to the HDMI alone.

That's why I come to slickdeals - to get "$700" phones and a $200 gift card for $480 https://slickdeals.net/f/9512352 or "$190" monitors for $50 nod

I am pretty sure you can use gift cards. but don't use any other Cashback site, you have to use the Slickdeal link for rebate to work.

Can't imagine any monitor or computer manufacture dying to get rid of DVI or VGA considering most industry or consumers don't need HDMI, especially with a 22" 1080p monitor. Only GPU's made without these I/O are enthusiast cards in which if you can afford them you aren't the type looking at 22' 1080p monitors. HDMI is only useful with resolution over 1440P or if you are passing audio through. I personally would go HP if I was looking for a 22" monitor not because the HDMI, but because of not needing to deal with rebates.

Always TD slickdeals rebate. Takes months, has unrealistic requirements... We'll all benefit if we just discourage SD from using these in the future.
