This week Amazon is having 23% off when you buy 5000 Coins ($38.50 vs $50), on top of that you get 20% back when buying packs through Amazon Underground installed Hearthstone app. All in all 43% off is the best deal in a while.
Keep in mind, if your state charges tax on digital goods you have to have enough coins to cover the tax. The deal is set to expire sometime today.

I have a bunch of coins from previous deals but the extra 20% back in coins makes this a very slick deal.

Thanks for the heads up!

It doesn't work out to 43% off, but a good deal nonetheless 😊😊😊

Meh, if you aren't an existing player don't waste your time. This is a pay to win game, the more you spend on cards, the "better" you are. Most top performing decks costs hundreds of dollars to assemble (or thousands of hours).

If you plan to play this without spending any money then expect to lose over and over, because that's the only way to get competitive against people of your level who spent $ on their decks.

People won't call out Pay to Win when it is Blizzard which is a pathetic double standard.

Both Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm aren't pay to win (cosmetic only in Overwatch, and Heroes of the Storm, the starting toons are perfectly competitive even if you benefit from unlocking more). So I recommend people play either of them instead of Hearthstone which most assuredly is P2W.

Yeah.. I've been playing since beta and I definitely would not start playing HS as a new player at this point.. But that's just me. I'm sure some ppl could find enjoyment out of the game as a new player w/o spending money or having any cards, but it's definitely a huge grind if you're late to the game. Time is money and the amount of time one would have to grind to get some decent decks, as a new player, is not worth it.

Game is 100% P2W (either with a huge time investment or $$) but that doesn't mean the game isn't fun.. if this is your hobby and have any sort of job... spending money isn't that bad.

I never understood why some ppl are so salty about p2w games. Just salty people, I guess.. cause they don't have to pay or play if they don't want to. Lol... It's like.. just move on with your life.. no need to be so salty.

It is true that most of the competitive decks are $$$, however, Blizzard recently retired several old expansions/adventures, so it is easier for a new player to catch up.
Currently, Hunter deck is pretty easy to craft and does not use any Legendary cards (new Zoo of sorts).
This post was geared mostly towards existing players because it's been a while since I saw a deal like that.

That's not true!!!

I started around one year ago when everyone else I know put in many years.

I'm a level rank 4 wild putting ZERO dollars in. I play roughly 20-30 minutes a day and not everyday.

To crack legendary I need more packs and grind more but now that I don't get bonus stars it's really hard to climb.

So just to summarise: That's not true!!! Except it totally is and you're negatively impacted by it.

Wow you are salty... rank 4 is top 1% of players... you expect a company to make a game for you and not make a penny?

I mean, i spent ZERO and i'm among the top players. If i really wanted to get higher, I can do it for Free.

You expect it to be free and be the best in the world???

To summarize: you expect way to much

This made me chuckle

Just to clarify, playing 20-30 minutes is like 1-3 games a day. So by that alone, it's obvious you are full of it.

Yes some days i'll play 4-10 games but other days i dont play at all. I have an aggro deck, so my games are MUCH faster. I dont play control decks because it wastes too much time. If i know i can't win and i'm at 15 health,i dont sit there and wait to lose. I just concede. Speeds things up.

I played 2 months on random decks i made. Then i went to hearthpwn and zerod in on one deck, and pretty much solely play one deck in ranked.

Just because you couldnt climbed ranked, doesnt mean others cant.

No need for me to make up stories.

I was stuck at level 10 for about 5-6 months. With the recent changes to the decks, i jumped up a bit to 5 and then 4.

To the new guys: don't let these others sway you from trying hearthstone. When i started i read the same thing, its Pay 2 win, blah blah. Once i started i realized its a great game and you dont need to spend money to move forward.

Now, clash of clans, when i played that i spent a little money and stopped playing that as i didnt want to spend money to move forward.

You can definitely reach legend with cheap decks like midrange hunter and pirate warrior. If you spend money, you have access to more cards thus you have a variety of deck to play with.

Keep in mind they won't be releasing anymore adventures. They were like smaller expansions that cost a set amount. It was a great value for casual/new players. Instead, they will be releasing 3 expansions a year.... So if you want to spend over $1,000 a year on a virtual card game to be competitive. More power to you.

Also, this is most certainly not a game for new/casual players. I came back from a long break, and I ran into the newest pro decks at the lowest rankings. I uninstalled after a day. The new cards just have to much value/synergy to overcome with older cards.
