Update: so far you can update 3mos in advance online but 5mos instore up to November due date.

I just paid $110 at my local warehouse.

It didn't even show on screen my membership due date late next month yet but I asked them if I can pay for it now or not and they rang the old price of $110. I did honestly told them I expected to pay $120 due to price increase in June 1st and the lady called the manager to clarify. He told me that's OK if I pay now with old fee, the system will ring in the new price on June 1st. I'm a little greedy asked him if I can pay like few years in advance my membership fee and he said it won't allow it, only 1 year at the time.

So if you want to save few bucks you can ask to pay your membership fee now at your warehouse. I don't know how far it can go, my due date is June 23rd.

So this is if you have executive membership with the CITI card? Normally that auto renews in October for me so if they charge it now manually it won't auto charge in October right? And also I don't lose 5 months already covered in 2017 right?

I think so but honestly I don't know. You can ask them before you pay, their services are awesome.

I've been patiently waiting another Costco membership promo. None have posted in over a year. Considering letting it go at end of month since 25 miles away. A new BJs is opening up a few miles away so may just go there instead.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Does anyone know when they pay the 2% cash back to you for having the Executive membership? I was told when I went to join (Living Social promo) that if I upgraded to Executive I will either get 2% cash back at end of my membership or if I didn't get at least 55.00 in cash back, they would reimburse me 55.00 anyway so it was a win win. I just want to know when they mail this out. Thanks.

I like Costco... have been a member continuously since it was still Price Club. However, I find it harder and harder to justify shopping there. Even taking into the generous return policy and 2-year extended warranty on electronics, I can find better prices from other reputable stores. For example, I used to get tires only from Costco, but now that my local tire shop(Goodyear, NTB and Mr. Tire) all match Costco or Tire Rack pricing, plus they will throw in unlimited balancing/rotation and road hazard protection.

Usually comes in around February/March. The 55.00 reimbursement is more of you going in person into the shop before your year is up and saying you want a refund on your membership - afaik that's not mailed to you.

I also had the living social deal. My check came in Feb but for less than 55, so I brought the check into the store. They took the check from me and gave me $55 cash.

The 2% gets sent to you in a voucher via U.S. mail, voucher is good at Costco only. It gets sent to you on your 1 year anniversary from becoming an Executive Member, or close to it (might be a couple of months before, can't quite remember exactly).

They told me the same thing at the warehouse about getting reimbursed the difference of cash back for Executive if you didn't earn more than $55 in cash back. I never got to test it since I got more than $55 the first year and never renewed the Executive, I downgraded back to Gold Star, but I'm assuming that is only the first year...is this correct?
