I took mine to 8Gb. I think I found a deal here at the time at Newegg for the memory. Just a note though. you do have to do quite a disassembly to install. Thankfully there is a good tutorial on how to do it on YouTube

Great price! Been waiting for this to drop again.

Now that it's available, I can't quite pull the trigger. Currently have Plex running on a mid-size tower (custom build) with lots of RAM and a good processor. No stutters, etc. Only issue is the occasional reboot that I don't notice until Plex doesn't work (I have to log in and start the program, then I'm good again). A little concerned about power consumption on the mid-tower, but otherwise it runs well.

Have thought about the QNAP for both Plex and data backups for multiple family computers. Worth it? Somebody talk me into (or out of) buying this thing! Thanks :-)

I have the 2 bay version. I originally upgraded mine to 16GB with some extra G.Skill laying around but realized that with the processor it might be difficult to use that much RAM. Bought some on sale Crucial memory 4GB x 2 and swapped them out. DDR3 prices are horrible right now. Most DDR3L 1600 PC3L-12800 RAM should work. Note it is the low voltage kind.
