Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe IV $999 and Free Shipping from Guitar Center

These are normally $1,400. They come in Iced Tea Color and a Light Blue. These guitars are infinitely better than the new Gibson tribute models which tend to have quality control issues, especially with the frets. The Studio Deluxe has a Burstbucker 2/3 pickup configuration and a gloss finish. The Deluxe model also has push-pull pots with a volume boost and coil splitting. I've played them all and this is currently the best new Les Paul you can buy for a 1000. My only complaint is that they don't come with a hard case. In my area, all of the guitar centers currently have these is stock. If you've been holding out for a good Les Paul, this would be a solid choice.

i am not sure what the difference is between the studio models but about 2 years ago i bought 2 studios at a very attractive price (one to flip) but after playing them i returned them both. qc was lacking...the thread is around here somewhere if you care to look.

Gibson has saturated the market with a lot of low end models for the past few years that don't play like a Gibson should. The new Gibson Faded T and Tribute models are garbage. The Studio Deluxe feels like a real Gibson. It has the slim taper neck, book-matched maple cap, chambered body, and the frets are properly dressed. It's a decent deal for $999. You probably wouldn't lose money if you decided to sell it down the road.

Are the Tributes that bad? They seem to get really good reviews everywhere i look. I was thinking about going to check them out.
