5ms is good, not great, response time. however, you will NOT find anything less at this price range and with freesync/IPS.

freesync is great if you have amd card or will get amd card. useless for nvidia.

IPS is great for anything, and 1080p will remain the standard "hd" resolution for a long time to come.

imho, this is exactly the kind of bang-for-buck monitor that I would recommend to someone on a small budget or who wants to maximize value. an i5-2500k, amd rx480, and this monitor would make a excellent gaming rig for anything at high-ultra settings.

Someone has no farking clue how panels work do they???? 4ms is the fastest an IPS can refresh because of the technology. TN are 1 and 2 ms. and if you truly think it's even hardly a noticable difference you are dense

I've been looking for a 27" IPS mostly for Photoshop but also for a little Flightsimming. I can't find any reviews. Anyone have any input?

Same, couldn't find any reviews on Amazon, Epinion or Newegg. Price is tempting.

Also a question since I'm not knowledgeable, why would you need 2 HDMI inputs on a monitor?

Some people like to use multiple inputs- PC + console or similar. For the rest of us, it just means there is an extra port hangout out.
