Does it still require their application to make calls or are they normal calls?

Hmmm... thinking about snagging a pair of these.

Anyone know if we can downgrade to completely free service? The $5 free family trial that's marked out on the checkout page makes it sound like it might be $5/month after the first month. I wonder if we can downgrade later to totally free?

For free you must use their app for VOIP (or Google Hangouts).

You can buy premium voice for cell minutes.
Gsm sims don't have an mdn to get premium voice. Whomever put that in there needs to take it out.

No, it's a trial it'll be $5/line after the first month.

Yup, it's a trial.and will cost at minimum $5/line. So for this deal it'll be $10/month on the free plan.

Read the guides on how to downgrade the plans and trials. After that it's $5/month per line.

So we're better off with the $.99 SIMs that can be downgraded to truly free service if we don't want to pay $5/month or obtain any premium services.

The only premium services are the paid ones. Nothing else is included with the line access fee. It won't get free premium voice like the other cdma offers.

Can we get bonus data (500mb) by adding friends, like the regular LTE sim?

Does data rollover work on this plan?

I added freedom friends on my LTE [AT&T] sim plan.

Data rollover was part of the Premium Plus package, which was ~$8 a month.

Yes, you will need the FreedomPop Messaging application to make and receive calls.

Correct, there is a $5.00/monthly fee per line after the first month.

You can earn data by adding friends; however, the earned data will also be shared between the lines. Unfortunately, rollover data is not available with this promotion.
