Debating this heavily to replace my aging Mitsubishi WD-65C9.
I don't require the latest and greatest, just cheap.
This seems to fit the bill...
I'm off to research until I miss the deal, as always.

No HDR. Hmm...
Just how important is HDR when getting a new 4K TV?

Have you ever felt like you needed HDR before? TV manufacturers needed the next big thing after 3D and HDR is it. If you didn't miss it before, you shouldn't miss it now.

Looks like a good viewing angle. Might be worth it for that alone.

I'm considering picking this up. Anyone know anything about it's input lag? How good would it be for Xbox gaming?

This appears to be back in stock on Walmart's website.

I broke down and ordered one on the 9th. It finally arrived the 19th (3-5 day shipping my butt).
Picture looks great to me and my simple tastes.

Sound is truly awful, I can't find any settings I care for in the audio set up, and I am probably going to have to break out an old sound bar I have laying around, or use my home theater system 100% of the time.

4/5 stars total. The one star deduction is for the audio. I would buy it again.

I have fixed my disappointing sound issue by going in to the secret menu (menu button then 7343). There is a sound gain setting in the audio section of that menu that I adjusted down from 200 to 50 and it made a huge difference in the sound quality. The tv volume goes from 1-100 and before adjustment i could hear it at 2 and it was too loud at 10. Now it's a finer adjustment that still starts at about 2 but would need to go up to about 30 to reach a volume equal to the old setting of 10. Much better imo.

Really surprised for as much talk as the 75" is getting that people aren't getting in on the 65" too. Ah well.

Just ordered this for $599+Tax... Recently moved and needed a tv, wanted a 65" that wasn't refurbished and this seems like the one of the best budget 65's at the moment. Reviews seemed pretty good so I pulled the trigger. To those of you that got this, are you pretty happy with it? I hope it is nice!! Big Grin Big Grin

I'm enjoying mine. looks good, and the sound is actually acceptable (to me) once I did the following;

The TV volume has a volume range of 0-100 and prior to doing this the TV went from soft at 1 to distorted at 10. I got into the in depth settings (Menu + 7343) and went to sound settings, then volume curve and made these adjustments.

I changed my mapping to
0-500
10-600
20-700
30-735
40-770
50-805
60-840
70-855
80-870
90-885
100-900

Sound mode is set to soft. EQ is set to Pop, and surround is on.
Now I have less volume (who uses the TV with volume pegged at 100?), but it's way less distorted.

Exactly. Besides the majority of folks buying HDR sets still dont calibrate them which completely nullifies their purchase.
