These sensor packs are usually priced in $60-80 range, and I saw that they were marked down to $40 or less in my area Walmarts. Some stores have priced these down to $29.5
Ecobee - Ecobee3 Remote sensor pack (2 sensors) $40 or less - Walmart B&M YMMV

The sensors are a great selling point for this device, but due to some covers that were installed incorrectly at the factory your sensor may not detect occupancy. I ordered the black Friday bundle and 4 out of 4 sensors had this issue. A quick way to check without opening is to look at the back of the sensor and orient it so that the 4 character code is on the top edge and readable. For a good sensor, the front should have the window in the top left and the bee in the bottom right. If the window isn't in the top left then you should snap the front cover off (pry at the seam with fingernails, guitar pick, etc.) and rotate the cover to align the sensor on the circuit board with the window on the cover.

Is there any reason why we need more than one sensor? I just bought Ecobee 3 and really like it. Thanks

they are used for room detection / temperature detection. and you set your ecobee to either use an average of all sensors or use the sensors that detect people in the rooms.

search for the SKU# 47709478 in the Walmart app on your phone. if it's in stock at your store, it will display the aisle location in the 'at your store' section of the search result.
these were kept in an aisle behind iPads at my store
