Bought this phone for a rep of mine..pretty sweet, easy and cheap to unlock, and has all the bands needed for T-Mo too. Note that it does feel cheap in the hand.

Did you root to unlock or buy a code?

Have been looking for a cheap ~$50 phone. This one with a large 5.5" screen and 2 gig RAM sounds good. If it is easily unlockable and has the tmob bands this could be the one.

just how terrible is the Snapdragon 212? wife has the ZTE Zmax 2 with similar specs but the SD410 and she's pretty happy with it. Looking for a back up as the Zmax 2

Agreed. to save $6.50 is not a lot. However, picking it up at WM and able to easily return if it I dont want to keep it adds to this deal.

I bought two of the ZTE Zmax 2 when they were $50. One for wife and gave the other one to sister. I should have bought a third...

Paid about $2.00 from a eBay unlocker. And no root.

Do not power on your device.
Locate the IMEI number for the phone, it should be on the box.

ATT Device Unlock Request [att.com]

Enter the details
You will need to confirm an email, which ATT will send you after you submit the unlock request
Get unlock code within 48 hours.

I got mine unlocked back in January for a different phone

Can this be unlocked without first having to register and use it on AT&T? The info I've seen online seems to be saying that you need to do that for 6 months first.......

read post 7. I did the same thing with an ATT phone last year. You do not have to register or pay att.
