Been eyeing the Dewalt 60v Circular Saw and battery set DCS575T1. Amazing deal at $200 at Amazon for a highly rated circular saw.

No, he's right, I bought one of the new XR brushless drills and it was inferior to my shop drill press.

if there is 1 corded saw I hate it's the circular saw because the cord is forever getting hung up when I cut 4x8 plywood

Used this on and off for almost a week on a large two-story framing and sheathing project and was not impressed. The new Makita hypoid was better in nearly every way.

Lowest price I've ever seen for the Flexvolt.

FYI: a new version with the blade on the left side is supposedly coming out later this year. Hope this thread doesn't turn into a left vs. right debate. Smilie

The thing is, it shouldn't really be a debate. There are positives and negatives to the blade being on either side (irregardless of if the operator is right or left handed) and it ultimately comes down to user preference and which attributes someone wants for themselves and the work that they do. I really like the sight lines of my tried and true PC 743 blade left saw, but also use a right blade Ridgid cordless without issue when the need arises.

If this was the 2 battery set, you could take advantage of the flexvolt promotion deal and get either another battery or the 996b. That would be a sweet deal at $199.

this is an awesome deal. I just dont really need it. Its kinda a teeth grinder, I am already heavily invested into the 20v line, but for 200 I get a saw and a new battery pack, and a charger. The battery and charger alone are worth over 100.
