...I think you should have included information on what the points are worth.

What can 20k points be traded in for?

They could give away 1,000,000 points...but if that is only worth $100 than it's not worth the paper it's printed on.

I took a quick look. Best option is Amazon GC 100:1 so not too bad if you don't have prime AND the Chase Amazon card that would give you 5% back

Here is some info:

Please note that the offers displayed on this page may differ from offers you may have received from Wells Fargo. Please refer to your offer specific disclosures for more details.
Credit card subject to credit qualification. You must be a permanent resident of the U.S. to qualify for this credit card. Nonpermanent residents may want to consider applying for a secured credit card by visiting https://www.wellsfargo.com/credit-cards/secured.
Generally, we will apply your minimum payment first to lower APR balances (such as Purchases) before balances with higher APRs (such as Cash Advances).
1 [wf.com]. To qualify for the 20,000 bonus rewards points, a total of at least $1,000 in net purchases (purchases minus returns/credits) must post to your account within 3 months from the date your account is opened. The bonus rewards points will show as redeemable within1 – 2 billing periods after they are earned. Cash advances and balance transfers do not apply for purposes of this offer and may impact the credit line available for this offer. ATM transactions, cash advances of any kind, balance transfers, SUPERCHECKS™, cash equivalents such as money orders and prepaid gift cards, wire transfers, fees or interest posted to a linked account, including but not limited to returned payment fees, late fees, and monthly or annual fees, do not earn rewards points. Refer to the opens in overlaySummary of the Wells Fargo Rewards® Program Terms and Conditions and Addendum [wf.com] to the Wells Fargo Rewards® Program Terms and Conditions for the Wells Fargo American Express Propel Card for details.
2 [wf.com]. Three rewards points (1 base point plus 2 bonus points) are earned per dollar spent on net purchases (purchases minus returns/credits) at U.S. retailers whose merchant code for American Express is classified as gas station and automated fuel dispensers (gas purchases at warehouse/membership clubs, grocery stores, car washes, auto repair stores and superstores that sell gasoline may not earn bonus points) and two rewards points (1 base point plus 1 bonus point) per dollar spent on net purchases at U.S. retailers whose merchant code for American Express is classified as eating places and restaurants, drinking places and fast food restaurants (caterers, and bakers, grocery stores and other miscellaneous places that serve food or operate restaurants on their premises may not earn bonus points). Purchases not processed using these codes for American Express will not qualify for bonus points. Wells Fargo does not have the ability to control how a retailer chooses to classify their business and therefore reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify for bonus points. You may not earn bonus points for purchases made through third-party payment accounts, at online marketplaces, retailers who submit purchases using a mobile/wireless card reader or if you use a mobile or digital wallet. One rewards point will be earned per dollar spent on other net purchases. ATM transactions, cash advances of any kind, balance transfers, SUPERCHECKS™, cash equivalents such as money orders and pre-paid gift cards, wire transfers, fees or interest posted to a linked account, including (but not limited to) returned payment fees, late fees, and monthly or annual fees, do not earn points. Refer to the opens in overlaySummary of the Wells Fargo Rewards® trademarkProgram Terms and Conditions and Addendum [wf.com] for the Wells Fargo Propel American Express®trademark Card for details.
3 [wf.com]. If you own a qualifying Wells Fargo consumer checking or savings account, or a Portfolio by Wells Fargo®trademark program (each a "qualifying deposit account"), you will earn a Relationship Bonus of 10% on rewards points earned on net purchases (purchases minus returns/credits) made on your credit card account. You cannot earn a Relationship Bonus on points that are earned as either bonus points or as promotional points. The Relationship Bonus, which will be in the form of rewards points, will post to your account in the 13th month after your credit card account was opened and annually on this date thereafter for the period during which you maintain your qualifying deposit account. Refer to the opens in overlaySummary of the Wells Fargo Rewards® trademarkProgram Terms and Conditions and Addendum [wf.com] for the Wells Fargo Propel American Express®trademark Card for details.
4 [wf.com]. Cellular Telephone Protection can reimburse the eligible Wells Fargo Consumer credit card cardholder for damage to or theft of a cellular wireless telephone. Eligible Cellular Wireless Telephones are limited to the primary line and up to the first three additional lines as listed on your provider's monthly statement. Cellular Telephone Protection is subject to a $25 deductible per claim and a maximum of 2 claims per 12 month period. The maximum benefit limit is $600 per occurrence and $1,200 per 12 month period. You will receive no more than the value of the original phone or a replacement phone with similar features and functionality, less a $25 deductible. This benefit does not cover cellular telephones that are lost. This protection is only available when cell phone bills are paid from your Wells Fargo Consumer Credit Card. The coverage does not apply if the cell phone bill is paid from a Wells Fargo Debit Card, Wells Fargo Business Credit Card, or from the card that is linked to a Line of Credit. Coverage does not apply to cell phones that are rented, borrowed, or received as part of a prepaid plan. Electronic failure or issues related to the software of the device are not covered. Cellular telephone protection coverage begins the first day of the calendar month following your first cellular telephone billing on your Wells Fargo Consumer Credit Card, and remains in effect when you continue to charge your total monthly cellular telephone bill to your Wells Fargo Consumer Credit Card. This protection may not be equivalent to or better than other applicable coverage you may have presently or in the future, such as your homeowner's or automobile insurance policies, or through a plan provided through the seller of the telephone. For complete coverage benefits and exclusions regarding this protection call 1-866-568-6521, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or read all the coverage benefits and exclusions within the PDF document provided (PDF) [wf.com].

5 [wf.com]. You must be an account holder of a Wells Fargo consumer credit product with a FICO®trademark Score on record.
Important: There are many factors that Wells Fargo looks at to determine your credit options, therefore a specific FICO®trademark Score or Wells Fargo credit rating does not necessarily guarantee a better loan rate, approval of a loan or an automatic upgrade on a credit card.
FICO is a registered trademark of Fair Isaac Corporation in the United States and other countries.
Your mobile carrier's rates may apply.

If they take Discover then get a DiscoverIT.... you'd get 2% cash back on tuition charges the first year and 0% APR for 14 months.

Though honestly I'd also consider using the spend to earn big $500+ signup bonuses from other new card offers instead unless you're talking about having to eat a lot of interest before reimbursement.

The Wells Fargo Cash Wise is by far the best card out there, $200 cash back after a $1,000 initial spend and 1.5% Cash Back on all purchases. No brainer if you are looking for a new card. https://creditcards.wf.com/cash-wise-visa-card And btw, cell phone protection is included too!

1.5% CB is horrible dude.

If you think that's the best card out there I can only assume you've never seen, like, any other card.

Nor is $200 after 1k spend all that terrific- though it's not as terrible as the rewards on the card.

The interest is always the kicker for me. I'll get 1/3 of the cost back a month or so after registration. Then 2/3 back after the second blue moon of the fifth month of the year, after I send in my transcript.
It blows my mind how efficient they are in getting me the first 1/3 back, but the last repayment can take months.

Could you provide a link to ANY other offer that gives you better than $200 back for a $1,000 initial spend and then give you 1.5% on EVERYTHING?
