The actual link in description works, however when I click on the green "See Deal" button it brings up the Keurig coffeemaker.. Is that just me?

Why spend this much on a sonicare when you get some posted on slickdeals for $20? They both brush your teeth at 30,000+ strokes per minute.

Are these really that much better than Sonicare's other units?

We own two of these and would highly recommend. They have a higher vibration rate, the quadpacer timer is nice and the charge glass is handy and charge case is very nice for travel. We paid same price at walmart in December.

I've been using for an year so I can provide some explanations.

If you've been using traditional toothbrush, it is definitely recommended to buy this or other sonicare brushes. If you have other sonicare brushes, no need to upgrade unless you have sonicare 1 or other sonicares with NI/Cd batteries.

Stroking is not actually main source of cleaning here. Stroking and vibration creates waves of toothpaste foam and water, and these waves clean your gum line. This is very similar to dental scaling at dentists.
