well if copper like painting is now what they call non stick ceramic than sure it's that. but this is going to be an aluminum pan with a stainless steel plate on the bottom for induction burners, and a ceramic non stick coating.

good luck with your glancing at things and determining their composition. I think you might need to hone your skills a bit more, or -SHOCKER!- just do some research on things.

with that said, i still feel like these will not be a good purchase, never had good luck with stuff like this and find wel seasoned cast iron is always superior.

"As seen on TV". That makes me suspicious right there.

Five Layer Construction
1-Double Top Layer- Polished ceramic coating. PFOA/PTFE free.
2-Base Layer- non-stick ceramic coating.
3- Aluminum Core- Provides excellent thermal conductivity and heat distribution.
4-Outside Layer- High temp exterior coating.
5- Induction Base- Stainless Steel induction base heats up faster and retains heat longer.

Note how the word "copper" doesn't show up in anything besides the name of the product.

If I order in the next 10 minutes do I also get a free one?

Just paying extra shipping, of course...

Yep, Copper Chef is the brand name and is not indicating that it had copper in it. intentionally obfuscating.

As far as I can tell its only intended to be a ceramic nonstick coating. Does it say somewhere that it is actually supposed to be real copper in the coating?

I actually have this, I got it for Christmas last year.

I use it a bunch. I don't believe it's probably real copper however it does what it says it does. I have yet to have anything stick to it and it seems to heat evenly and is really easy to wash.

So, in other words, you agree with the comment that it is crap? Way to pick your battles, maybe if you hone your skills a bit more you can post an alternative opinion.

I wanted this so bad after watching the infomercial....Amazon reviews steered me far away.

I'll put the word "brand" after Copper Chef in my title to avoid any confusion.
I just used the item title that is on item page .. sorry if some were mis-led.
Thanks for all the feedback. Smilie

no. based on the research that i did, paired with culinary expertise, and knowledge on such vessels, i am capable combining the information and making an educated opinion.

i disagreed with the original assessment of the indiviudal who picked it up, made some very poor assumptions on composition and craftsmanship. if you're going to have an opinion on something, its always best to educate yourself. just assuming will help nobody.

Amazon has a 4.2* review average which is pretty decent but 14% 1* reviews that are all describing the same issues are steering me away from this deal. If it was Costco or some other place that would take it back after a few months if indeed they don't last that long, I'd probably jump on it.

I believe Kohls has a "whenever " return policy, unless they've changed it.
