these u3 cards are meant for "4k" with gopro/drone cameras or better. if its just for expansion in your phone i would look for a better deal on a slower 128gb card. a vast majority of us only keep media on the sd card and even 1/4 u3 speeds is more than enough speed for 1080p bluray rip encodes or photo/music browsing.

typical price is about $32-35

Picked up 64/128gb. One thing I noticed is 128gb one has 90MB/s write speed while 64gb has 60MB/s on the packaging. Not sure how much difference that would make in real life though.

I took original price as about 2x of OP's $23 price when I purchased mine. You could do quick search on amazon with "UHS-1", "U3", and "64gb" or "128gb" as keywords and see comparable microSD's prices Smilie

Good catch. Amazon comments from people who speed tested the drives confirms a speed difference particularly with writing. Rep+1

My LG G5 records video in 4k, would this be overkill for it?

micro SD cards overdue for price cuts.... the 200gb+ cards have seen no significant price cuts and are on market for nearly 2 years. I think I'm going to write a new moore$ law of tech company greed.. how many months and years tech companies can keep (stale tech products and services) prices sky high before cutting the price to sell more or being forced to compete.

Actually, there's been a general increase in price. It's all part of the cough, cough, "memory shortage"..

I purchased this card 6 months ago

https://www.amazon.com/PNY-Elite-...gb+sd+card

and it now sells for over twice what I paid ($67 vs $139).

My Roku 3 keeps prompting me to consider using a micro SD. Would this be a good solution for that?

not sure on that phone I know the few samsung phones I tested are limited by the card slot and only do 40mb read and 20m write with a 90/90 samsung pro card. Those are older S5 and Note 4
