Double Dip DMR Points Amazon/DMA

+9 Deal Score

Hopefully this is in the right place. IDK if this is known or not but I stumbled upon a way to double the usual 150 DMR points to 300 per movie.

Note: I have my DMA accounts linked to Amazon and most of the other platforms available.

As an example I will use the movie Frozen.

Basically I redeemed my code for Frozen at digitalcopyplus or the site on the slip (not on disney movies anywhere.) Once I was given the options of platforms to redeem I chose Amazon first, do not select Disney Movies Anywhere. I was given an Amazon Digital Promo code to redeem on Amazon which was loaded to my Amazon account. At this point I logged into my DMA app and entered the code for Frozen which gave me 150 points.

I then went to Amazon and searched for the movie Frozen and I selected "Purchase HD for $17.99" which applied my Amazon digital promo code and gave me another 150 points.

I first noticed this back when DMA linked to all the platforms over a year ago. Before then I would redeem on Amazon first then say it didn't work and I would redeem on iTunes also. Once they linked all of them I got 150 points for each of the movies I did that with on Amazon. I just picked up Robin Hood and The Sword in the Stone from Best Buy and I received a total of 600 points using this method.

Please delete if this is a known exploit I searched but I wasn't sure what terms to search.

Hmmmmmmmm... I wonder of you could apply the promo code to a different movie. That would be the real new of your discovery of you could. Double movies instead of (or maybe in addition to) double points! Going to have to try soon

I bought 4 disney movies. I redeemed Bambi on the DMA app and got 150 points.

I redeemed Zootopia on digitalcopyplus on Amazon they gave me the promo code I then redeemed on the DMA app which gave 150 points. I then redeemed my Amazon promotional code that I got from digitalcopyplus and that gave me another 150.

I doubt this only works on my account, it has to work on others. While I'm not 100% it has to be in this order this is how I did it.

Redeem at digitalcopyplus>choose amazon as the provider>get your Amazon promo code>redeem on DMA>Finally redeem the Amazon promo code on Amazon>get 300 points total

I tried to use the Amazon promotional credit for a different movie but it didn't work. I was able to get double points though for the same movie, so thanks OP.

Yeah I tried to get another movie also but it didn't let me either but at least we're able to get double points. Thanks for reporting back that it worked for you I was beginning to think it wasn't working for anyone else.

Totally worked for me. Thanks OP. Wish I'd know about this sooner. Would have done this with all the movies I got from Hollar. Better late than never. Noticed that the DMA redemption doesn't show a playable movie through Disney Movie Rewards but the Amazon redemption does. The only other time a redemption hasn't shown as playable online through DMR for me was Robin Hood 40th Anniversary Edition even though it's in my Collection on DMA. Weird. Anybody tried to redeem a 3D movie this way?

I might have transposed a step.

My DMA is showing +150
But my DMR still is lacking that extra 150 points.

Robin Hood 40th is showing up on both Amazon and DMA.

I confirm that this work as of today. It seems that the website for DigitalCopyPlus is now https://redeemdigitalmovie.com/ [redeemdigitalmovie.com]
  1. I went here first: https://redeemdigitalmovie.com/
  2. I put in the code (#1) from my movie's digital code insert paper
  3. I selected Amazon and copied the given code (#2)
  4. I went to Amazon (clicking on the link they gave) and entered the code
  5. I went to DisneyMoviesAnywhere.com, logged in, and entered the code (#1)
  6. I went back to Amazon Video, found the digital copy of the movie and purchased the HD version.
  7. I checked immediately to make sure that Amazon applied the promo code (wish it would confirm this before making the purchase).
  8. I went to DisneyMovieRewards.com and saw that I got the points twice.

I now realize that this is the method that folks use to split a Disney digital code and sell/trade/give the different codes. Thank you for sharing OP!

Yeah the steps are a bit tricky the main thing, I think, is to redeem on the website on the slip with the code on it. Whether it is digitalcopyplus or redeemdigitalmovie. If you redeem on DMR you won't be able to do it.
