Best Buy is doing a clearance on last model's Kicker door speakers and subwoofers. This is the CS line, which is a step above the DS line sold at WalMart. Door speakers are sold as pair, subwoofers are sold each.

If looking to just add a sub or two, you'd only need an amp wiring kit, the amp, and a converter that converts from speaker to line out - Kicker's is model# KISLOCK, but you can find different brands cheaper.

You would essentially tap into your existing speaker's wiring to get audio, and then pull power from your battery, another wire that only has power when you switch on the vehicle (to trigger the amp to turn on), and a ground, and then you should be good to go.

Door speakers? Nothing extra is needed. Subwoofers will require an aftermarket amplifier and wiring kit. The Kicker CXA300.1 goes on sale for $99 often and is enough amplifier to push any of the subwoofers in the OP. If you're trying to replace a factory subwoofer with one of these, you'll need to know what impedance the factory subwoofer is. Remove the sub from it's factory location and it's usually printed on the back. If not, grab an ohmmeter and measure it. If it measures the same as the subwoofers here, it'll play fine.
Difference in what? Overall, the two speakers are completely different sizes/shapes. You cannot fit a 6x9 in a 6x8 hole. Yeah, maybe you can rig something together. Use really long screws to drill into the door panel, etc. Where there's a will there's a way. But all in all, they're different shapes. In sound? More cone area means more output and better low frequency extension. If you've got a Ford that's a few years old, it's probably 6x8" size.
I use Metraonline dot com.
??? First, the JL W7 is over 4 times the price of these. Secondly, yeah, you can run two 10s. Or ten 10s. Whatever you can fit in and power properly.

Just a heads up to you both, all of Kicker's amplifiers can accept high level/speaker level input directly in the RCA jacks. No need for a KISLOC or line output converter. You can either cut the RCA cable included in the amp wiring kit and connect directly to those wires, or you can buy the Kicker KISL. The Kicker KISLOC was really only made for people using other brand amplifiers. That said, it's arguably the best passive line output converter on the market. All surface mount components and flat frequency response 20-20kHz. Also has a dummy load built on to trick those pesky Dodge/Chrysler systems.

Same question, what's needed to install these in place of a factory system?

For the price, this or the JL 10w7. Can you run two of the 10s?

Here's the speaker wire to RCA adapter to tap an amp to your factory system. https://www.amazon.com/Kicker-KIS...B00I4EBOYK
I bought this amp to go with the subwoofer. It auto detects high level (speaker wire) and low level (RCA) inputs through the RCA ports.

No. Maybe a 10% difference in surface area. Less than 1 decibel difference.

As mentioned, Crutchfield. Or try Kicker: http://www.kicker.com/fit-guide
