If I am an existing Sprint customer, this deal does NOT apply to me, correct? I have to have "new service"?

Is it possible to just pay the $360, unlock the phone, and take the phone to T-Mobile?

No here is the death trap clause of 24 months. "Savings are deducted off the full total price of the device and are reflected in reduced monthly payments over the life of the device."

No you must activate service, pay activation and close the account. Monthly service is not prorated. Your best bet is to add a line to a friends plan since it's only $20-30 instead of $70

Can the device be paid off at $360 or it's in the form of monthly statement credit?

Yes it can be paid off just call or chat with CSR.
With verizon and tmobile you can just go online to your account and pay it off...not sure att...sprint should make it easier

Daaaamn, death trap clause does seem an appropriate name

It can be paid off early but it needs to be active on the Sprint network for 50 days if you want to unlock it.

Most previous threads recommend to go to store to open new account and because Best Buy post date activations for deliveries.

Also if you bring a Verizon post paid sim, you can use it first to activate to unlock the phone and not need to wait the 50 days for sprint to unlock it for you.
