Not really designed for general-purpose listening, more for professional (and semi-professional) recording studios. I have a pair of the A7X's for that purpose and they're really good. But there's a big difference between speakers designed for studios and those designed for home listening, so know that before you plunk down a hunk of cash.

They are for mixing and mastering not shaking your ass to beyonce. They have a flat response which is needed for that sort of thing.

First-World rich people's speakers used mostly for golden ear bragging and specialized environments. There are other equally good speakers for far less if you care enough to search and listen. Not dissing the sound or quality; just the prices. Very high GP for vendors. (And yes, I sold high-end audio gear for 20 years) Repped for the find.

For the price what would you recommend? Looking to upgrade from my Polk rti 5.1 set
