Pretty good price - I got (a virtually new) one a few weeks ago from Amazon Warehouse for about this price.
Not sure what the 2.0 is referring to though... I didn't think Ecobee refreshed the Lite and support for its room sensors were added OTA through firmware updates.
What was the original difference between the first and second gen ecobee3 - HomeKit support? If this is what it's referring to, the Lite wasn't even around during the first gen so it's not really 2.0 now...?

Any chance I can use this to pricematch with another store/home depot or that?

If you got one from wharehouse deals for a relly good price, you may want to check if yours support apple homekit you may not need it but its good to have for compatibility in the future, i got a deal for 146 for the non lite version and was not compatible with apple

This new model. I just install and add 2 sensor buy from Walmart too ( 2 sensor for $40)
work very good. The ecobee3 lite 2nd Gen compatible with our wireless room sensors, and cannot control any whole home accessories like a humidifier, dehumidifier or ventilator

Yes, I am aware of that. ecobee 4 has Alexa built-in. Seems like a bland feature if your thermostat is in a location you rarely are in. The non-lite versions comes with extra sensors.

So now that ecobee Lite supports remote sensors, what's the difference between this and ecobee 3??
