Comcast Xfinity Mobile Service

Comcast has officially launched today its mobile services. Its cellular service is on the Verizon network and it uses broadband when available hotspots are nearby.

If you subscribe to their TV/Internet services already, you get unlimited talk and text, and 100mb of data at no additional charge per line. Or you can get data in 1GB allotments at $12 per GB or Unlimited for $45.

They also offer 0% interest on phone financing.

This is a slick deal if you already have their services, If not, I wouldn't recommending switching to them.

The Comcast pay-as-you-go plan comes with unlimited talk and text for $65 a month to Comcast customers, but it is currently offering a $45 discounted price (offer ends July 31).

what happens when you go over the free 100mb, does it throttle down (slick) or automatically go into paid mode per GB (not slick)?

How do i sign up for the free service?

Update : There is no BYOD option. For the free service one would need to buy a phone from them and the cheapest phone is $6.5 per month for LG X power

Too bad there isn't BYOD, would've liked to use this for my smartwatch! 100MB is plenty and unlimited voice/text.

Honestly, as shitty of a company Comcast is this is a pretty good deal depending on your usage. If they offered BYOD and 6 lines I'd try it out. I chatted with them and the rep said (during their beta) that they have seen a few people get approved for more than 5 lines.
It is Verizon's network though so even when they launch BYOD most of my plan's current phones wouldn't work, just I think two of them (Moto X Pure and iPhone 6S).
