Ultra Flex plan from Ultra Mobile (T-Mobile MVNO): unlimited talk & text, 250MB data - $11.50/month

Ultra Mobile, the parent company of MintSIM, just announced another plan that can be cheaper than MintSIM, called the Ultra Flex

https://ultramobile.com/flex

http://prepaidphonenews.com/2017/...x-and.html (write-up)

To sum, the plan has unlimited talk & text + 250MB (individual plan) or 1GB shared (family plan) data for $11.50/month, if you sub for 4 months, or if you get 4 accounts. Data add-on cost is $5/500MB or $10/GB. If you want minutes and don't need all of MintSIM's 2GB allotment, Flex would be a cheaper choice.

Edit: The unlimited talk also include the countries below. Unlimited text is global. The 250MB/1GB data is non-expiring and rolls over to next month.

CANADA | CHINA | FRANCE | GERMANY | HONG KONG | ISRAEL | MEXICO | SINGAPORE | THAILAND | UNITED KINGDOM

Ultra Flex [ultramobile.com]

This is for 4 months of service (each month $11.50/per line)

1 month - $21
2 months - $16.50
3 months - $14.50
4 months - $11.50

Ultra Flex Plan
(Individual user)

Ultra Flex plan comes with 4+ months of service for only $11.50/month. This plan includes:
Unlimited nationwide talk and global text
Unlimited international talk to Flex 10 destinations
250 MB rollover 4G LTE per month
Since Ultra Mobile wants its users to buy more months, the price of the plan also lowers in time. For instance, one month of Ultra Flex plan costs $21/month. Two months of service cost $16.50/month, and three months of service cost $14/month. To get the most out of the plan, Ultra Mobile recommends getting at least four months of service, which costs $11.50/month.

Ultra Flex Family
(Family plan)

Ultra Mobile prides itself for creating Ultra Flex Family, the first family plan built for prepaid. The more lines are added, the lower the individual monthly rates become. When adding four lines or more, the plan becomes $11.50/month. This also includes:

Unlimited nationwide talk and global text
Unlimited international talk to Flex 10 destinations
250 MB shareable 4G LTE per line added
One line costs $21/month and includes 250 MB data. Two lines are priced at $16.50/line/month with 500 MB shared data while three lines cost $14/line/month with 750 MB shared data.

If additional data is needed, Ultra Mobile makes it easy and affordable to do so; starting at $5 with Ultra Flex Data.

500 MB for $5
1 GB for $10
2 GB for $20
5 GB for $45
10 GB for $80

For low data use and if one needs international calling to the places listed (I do), these plans look great.

Yeah, AFAICT, this is a B&M deal. You have to get the SIM and plan from an Ultra Mobile dealer.

Title should mention the required 4 months to even get that price.

But anyway, I can't see why someone would pick this instead of MintSim, which gives more lte and unlimited 2g, for barely more money. Both are prepaid.

Why not just get MintSim? It has 2gb LTE data for $14/month.

I don't see how this plan is cheaper than MintSIM? What can you do with 250MB LTE data a month?

If I have the regular ultra mobile postpaid plan that's unlimited for $19, how do I switch to this while keeping my number?
