EGO has $50 off the 15in. 56V 2.5Ah Lithium Battery string trimmer at Home Depot B&M/Online for Free Shipping or Free In-store pickup. This is regularly $199.99, but has been on sale for $179.99 recently. This is a great price. Picked this up a couple weeks ago and very impressed so far. Power and battery are great for residential use.

For those out of the loop, EGO just released a Power Head with several attachments including a string trimmer, edger, pole saw, etc. I have both this string trimmer and the Power Head (PH), and the PH is far, far more powerful. It has a huge 2000W motor and the string trimmer shreds anything in it's path. I was using this standard 15" one for about 6 months prior and while it works well, it bogs/slows down at times. The PH setup feels like 5x the power. If you want the most powerful model, get the PH one (it is more $ though: $350 [homedepot.com] with the 5.0 battery or $399 [homedepot.com] for the battery and edger).

Just received the same email notification from eGO this am. I have been thoroughly impressed with the 530 CFM blower, hedge-trimmer, and Dual-line 13" trimmer.

The blower throws a lot of volume, and the dual line seems to balance out better than most electric weed-whackers that have 1 line. I felt that the single line feed would drag the tool downward into the area, scalping it, when you hit a thick patch of grass etc. The dual line seems to balance out better, and the other end of the line tends to balance the tool out so that one-line isnt throwing off the balance.

I converted from GreenWorks after my old legacy battery died and would have been to expensive to replace. Recommend these for residential.

Home Depot (online or in store) has EGO 56volt (110mph / 530 CFM) blower on sale for 149.99. Comes with 2.5 Ah Battery. Usually is sold for $199.

This is not nearly as slick as the $99 (HD in-store only) front page deal from a few weeks ago, but still tempting if you want to go for a cordless blower. Most review sites seem to rate this as one of the best cordless electric blowers.

It looks like all the EGO items are each $50 off... string trimmer, hedge trimmer, backpack blower, etc.

Nice find, have the blower and trimmer, in for the hedge trimmer now! Best brand of equipment I've ever come across! Batteries last a long time, powerful, and so easy to use.

I've read these are especially long... can anyone comment on how comfortable this might be to someone who is pretty small (5'4") ?

Great deal for an awesome line of tools. I have the chainsaw, blower and weed trimmer. Now I'll be buying the hedge trimmer as I've been waiting for it to go on sale.

I'm 6' 4" and was slightly thrown by how long it is, however, it does seem well balanced and the handle location is adjustable. Home Depot has 90 days return window on used equipment for any reason. If you are considering, might be worth at least stopping in and checking out the display if in the area of HD. Hopefully an equivalent height user can chime in.

On our 2nd season with it. This is a great blower and moves a lot of air. When you push the turbo button the force pushes your arm back.

You'll want a second or bigger battery with it if you don't own other EGO tools already, but would definitely buy this blower again.

Assuming you're referring to the picture, it says how long it is. Buy it and if it's too big return it.

Bought the trimmer last year and it's my favorite yard tool I've ever used. I'm not one who particularly loves yard work, but I have to admit I get almost giddy when I use it. It's just one of those things where every time I use it I think, "I can't believe I used to have to use that (gas powered trimmer) to do this." It's like an evolution or something, lol. Decided I wanted the blower too this year and just missed the one day $99 sale last month, so couldn't bring myself to pay full price. Don't think it'll reach that again this year, so this price seems like a nice compromise.

I do agree that the weed trimmer is long. I'm 5-8 and I even wish it was shorter. I've gotten used to it. The trick is to adjust the handle on the pole is at a position that balances the trimmer when you hold it.
